Chapter 24 of the Book of Proverbs tells us in verse 4 that it is "through wisdom" that a house is built. The unique thing about a house is that it doesn't exist in the natural. It has to be built. The word 'house' is used almost 2000 times in scripture. In Luke 6:48,49 Jesus taught about the man who 'built his house upon the rock'. Let's look at 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 1-5:
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies,
You are that house that wisdom wants to build. As you 'grow' by the WORD and with Christ as your sure foundation your 'house' will stand just like the one in Luke. Does this mean everything will be just wonderful all the time? Verse 16 tells us "a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again". This tells us that we will face the 'storms of life' but that we will not be 'shaken' off our foundation!

and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere
