Chapter 27 of the Book of Proverbs seems to be the 'practical guide to life'. Right from the first verse we are reminded of our inability to see the future. So, how should we be living each day? I think the key is provided in verse 18: "... he that waiteth on his master shall be honored". We should live each day with an expectation but not knowing exactly what each day will bring. We are to be 'good stewards' over what God has placed in our care as pointed out by verse 23.
Verses 6, 9, and 17 tells us of the value of friendship. A good friend is hard to find and requires some work on your part to keep. Has it been a while since you touched base with your friend. Why don't you do it today and see what kind of a boost you get out of it.
See you tomorrow, Pastor Herb
